Well at last its finished. Its only taken the better part of a year, missed the competition it was designed for, put all the other projects behind schedule and driven poor old Rocket mad but it was worth it!

So here it is, the Beast of Bough Beech in 1/6 scale and R/C

suspension.gif

This shot shows where all the bits from the donour 1/10 scale Tamiya mini went. cut in half, the motor fits snugly in the engine bay with the rear suspension slideing neetly under the cargo deck. having said all this the finished model was WAY too heavy for the suspension and had to be padded out with rubber washers to stop it looking like some low slung bling street warrior

The wheels are the original action man units, sprayed up with meccano fittings screwed to the back to allow fitting to the Tamiya axles.

This shows just how tight it is under the bonnet. Under here we have the receiver(acoms) Speed controller(digital, tamiya  type tbeu 1bk) and the power for working headlights.

The grill, also known as the AAAARGH bit of the project. Having searched high and low on the web for some scale wire mesh I'd given up and was about to hand make it when i was in Wollies one lunch time and noticed a metal veggie strainer. the mesh scale was perfect! And it only cost me £2.99 to boot! Well £3 lighter I trip off home, cut the wire out, stuffed it under a book for w eek to flatten it out then stuck it to a brass wire frame and voila!, perfect Landie grill!
